Released January 2017, the Dunk Low Flyknit was Nike's attempt to reimagine the classic 1985 Dunk silhouette using their signature Flyknit technology — replacing the traditional leather upper with a fully knitted construction while keeping the iconic Dunk tooling. Released three full years BEFORE the 2020-2022 Dunk mania that pushed the silhouette to peak collector demand. This pair was ahead of its cultural moment.

Design details: Full University Red Flyknit upper with Wolf Grey mesh panels running through the traditional Swoosh area, red leather Swoosh overlay on both sides, red padded interior collar, red rope laces, white midsole, and the signature red waffle-textured rubber outsole with concentric-circle 'Nike' branding at the pivot points. Large 'NIKE' and 'DUNK' text embossed into the red heel counters — a bold callout to the model's identity.

Colorway story: University Red / Wolf Grey / White is a direct visual callback to the OG 1985 Nike Dunk 'Iowa State' — one of the original 12 college pack Dunks that started the entire Dunk lineage. This 2017 Flyknit variant channels that heritage palette into a modern construction.

Condition: Light Used — Try-On Only, Indoors. Honest disclosure: this pair was tried on and worn briefly around the house — but never taken outside. Every meaningful preservation indicator is intact: (1) retail tissue paper still stuffed inside both heels, (2) red waffle outsole is pristine with zero outdoor wear, dirt, or scuffs — the concentric Nike pivot logos are perfectly sharp (indoor wear only means no pavement contact), (3) red laces still in factory-lace pattern with no relacing marks, (4) Flyknit upper crisp with no fuzzing, pilling, or creasing, (5) 'NIKE / DUNK' heel embossing sharp on both shoes, (6) red padded interior with only faint foot impressions from initial try-on.
