Named after Nike, the Greek Goddess of Victory. The Blazer Phantom Low is the first low-top variant of Nike's Blazer Phantom line, combining retro and futuristic design elements inspired by Greek mythology. Phil Knight originally chose 'Nike' as the company name in 1971 after the ancient Greek goddess who embodied victory — this shoe is a deliberate tribute to that origin.
Signature design details: The Winged Victory of Samothrace statue (that ancient Greek statue in the Louvre) is debossed onto the cork insoles and appeared on the original release leather hangtag. Intentional cracked/craze leather finish on the white uppers gives them a vintage character out of the box. Grey suede mudguards for tonal contrast. Dragon red leather Swoosh that wraps around the heels. Debossed NIKE tongue text (clean minimal branding). Thick gum rubber outsole with signature Nike branding and herringbone tread.
Condition: Light Used. White leather uppers clean with the intentional cracked finish preserved (this is the design, not damage). Cream laces still crisp with only minor use. Dragon Red Swoosh fully vibrant with no fading. Grey suede overlays intact with minor dust only. Red heel strap band bright. Cork insoles crisp with the Goddess of Victory imagery clearly visible. Gum rubber outsole shows minimal walking wear with tread fully intact and no bald spots. Debossed NIKE tongue tag crisp. Structure fully solid, no rips, no separation. No box.
