Andre Agassi's signature tennis shoe. Designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1990 for a young rebellious Andre Agassi, the Air Tech Challenge II is one of the most iconic tennis silhouettes ever produced. Agassi wore the OG 'Fresh Water' colorway on court through his run at the 1991 US Open, and the model became a defining piece of both tennis history and Nike design language. The Turbo Green colorway is a reinterpretation of that OG Fresh Water palette using turbo green in place of the original aqua blue.
Signature design elements: Iconic 'H'-shaped plastic lace stays at the mid-tongue (unique to the ATC II — no other Nike has these), massive visible Nike Air unit in the heel, speckled teal graphic on both quarter panels (Agassi's Rock N Roll Tennis aesthetic), NIKE AIR heel branding in vintage lockup, chunky mid-height high-top silhouette. White leather upper with grey overlays, black panels, teal Swoosh, volt yellow midsole accents, black herringbone + volt outsole.
Note on the label: This 2014 retro has 'nikebetterworld.com' on the interior size tag — Nike's 2013-14 sustainability initiative branding, now a small piece of Nike history in itself.
Condition: Moderately Used. White leather uppers mostly clean with only minor smudging. Teal Swoosh fully vibrant on both shoes. Volt yellow midsole accents still popping — no meaningful discoloration. Teal speckled quarter graphics intact. 'H' lace stays present and functional on both shoes. Massive Air unit clear with no yellowing. Interior teal padding still bright, tongue Nike labels crisp. Outsole shows real walking wear with some dirt on the tread and a small dark spot on one shoe (possibly gum/tar contact from wear), tread pattern fully intact with no bald spots. Structure fully solid, no rips, no separation. No box.
