The AJ12 is a legend. Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Jordan 12 with inspiration drawn directly from the Japanese Rising Sun flag — that iconic radiating sun-ray pattern on the upper is a direct reference. The AJ12 silhouette is best known as MJ's 'Flu Game' shoe: Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, MJ dropped 38 points while battling flu-like symptoms and led the Bulls to a crucial win. That legendary performance happened in a pair of black/red AJ12s.

The French Blue backstory is unique: Originally released in 2005 as a Washington Wizards-era colorway designed for Michael Jordan — but MJ retired in April 2003 before ever wearing this design on court. This is the AJ12 MJ was supposed to wear, but never did. Retro'd for Spring 2016. Widely considered one of the most beloved non-Chicago Bulls AJ12 colorways.

White tumbled leather upper with textured French blue basketball-leather mudguards on toe and heel. Silver metallic Jumpman lace eyelets. Blue Jumpman tongue embroidery. 'TWO 3' spelled out on tongue side labels (signature AJ12 detail). Vertical 'JORDAN — Quality Inspired by the Greatest Player Ever' heel ribbon tag. Red '23' on the heel counter. Blue rubber Zoom chevron outsole with red interior grooves and gold Jumpman on toe. Carbon fiber shank plate for stability.

Condition: Heavy Used. White tumbled leather uppers show yellowing and dinginess (white leather ages fast). Some toe scuffing. Tongue 'TWO 3' text faded. Interior lining shows visible dirt and staining, including an orange/coffee-colored stain on the right shoe tongue collar area — honest disclosure. French blue mudguards intact with normal wear. Blue outsole fully solid with tread intact. All iconic details fully intact: vertical heel ribbons, red '23' heel, silver eyelets, gold Jumpman toe. Structure fully solid, no separation, no rips. No box.
